Rumors have been spreading on social media claiming that the entire Bodu Village near Tekulapalli was abandoned due to a supposed “village curse” or bad omen. Reports suggested that residents locked their homes and fled the village out of fear.

To uncover the truth, our team visited Bodu Village to investigate the ground reality.

While the houses appeared locked and the streets seemed empty, the real reason behind this situation is completely different. Villagers clarified that they gather every year before Ugadi for a traditional community picnic (Vanabhojanam). This year, the entire village collectively decided to stay together at a nearby mango farm as part of their annual tradition and to discuss village matters.

The Sarpanch and villagers strongly denied the rumors, stating that there is no curse, no danger, and no reason to panic. They confirmed that the viral social media claims are false and misleading.
