Hrishikesh Mukherjee on his films 'Gol Maal' and 'Naram Garam'

Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Indian film director speaks about his films 'Gol Maal' and Naram Garam. He says, "I don't exactly remember must be ten to twelve years back but I was not sitting idle, I changed the medium I made more than 80 episodes for Doordarshan which amounts to about 10 feature films.

I made a film called Golmal with Utpal Dutt and Amol Palekar then I made the second film with same artists, same name, same costume but different story which was Naram Garam which I consider a better film then Golmal then I wanted to make the third film with same artists, same name of the characters and same costume but that didn't materialize. Utpal fell sick, I fell sick so the same story had changed a little bit and made this film.

Technique means to achieve something as you should be confident what you are going to achieve change means they tremendous a signal facility because you will look through the camera all the time you have a monitor in front and know what is happening through the camera it's called video assist. These are a tremendous advancement.

This is the simplest film I have made there is only one girl Juhi Chawla then there is a lady her mother then there is hero's Bhabhi with two children and you'll not find any female character coming and talking in the film only one character that is Juhi Chawla."
