Project Discerption.
Under the bridge and above the Nile is a place to appreciate beauty. A place to test Water, Art and all spiritual and cultural values in this Site. El.Sawy Culture Center gave us an opportunity to representing the beauty.
Art galleries, music concerts, writers, poets conferences and a lot of exhibitions of architecture and photography are examples of activities which make the place highly sensitive to all kinds of beauty values. Hearing, watching and testing the beauty of Arts is one of an important targets of the center. This is exactly what we attempt to achieve in this project. To use simple element of architecture to simulate the Arts process.

Design Concept.
In a point that have a lot of elements that have a historical and social events and by studying the geographical and social entries the design evaluate to study three of this entries . .
By studying the Nile path in Cairo geographical and historical we see that the Nile was a single path and then it evaluate to secondary paths either naturally or artificially where these secondary paths collapse together and again it evaluates (divides ) then collapse forming special island from this geographical and geographical feature we begin to present an architectural language based from the nature of the Nile behavior in simplicity and modernity language.
The design conceptual analysis came in a sort of parallel strips that have linear paths. Its separated sometimes to create special places for practicing special activities and have special sense for other activities
These spaces are hanged to the building ceiling and isolated from the rest activities like the geographical place of the Zamalek island of the Roda island to the Nile and the land surround it.
And by studying the Social Entries as another access for the conceptual analysis we see that there is a huge slice in our Cairo society that doesn't give the beauty of the art any attention and that is because of the economical sociable and political situations in Egypt that make them lose the sense of art in their life.
Our approach in design was to break the boards between our community and the art and make the art and the beauty as an activity where the visitor came to the place not necessary to see an art activity but to came to the Nile a time after a time.
So the design came by in a huge space that is an entertainment space for the first behavior attract people to this place as a place where they can practice their time on the Nile banks without feeling that the place is an art gallery.
The third access was by studying the project site under the bridge that is a strong boarder that has a negative (passive ) effect on the project spaces so we try to isolate the spaces from the bridge by using strips that cover the land and make the visitor easy to see the project masses and we avoid to make the form in one mass.
All that was by preserving the cultural activities and by controlling the spaces by using the patterns that can be fixed between the strips. As for the building from the outside we have tried as much as possible to make the origin be different from the rest of architectural patterns that exist in the city of Cairo. as an architectural cry in the middle of a lot of those buildings and facilities that are characterized with repetition and boring similarities, with sometimes taking design reference input land, society and culture without commitment of thought convention and criticism of architectural subjects, especially when this meets with a very sensitive entrance which is appreciation of art and beauty, which needs to be reviewed. so that we can elude of traditionalism in addressing such subjects.
