Grummz just dropped new insider data on Ghost of Yōtei, and it’s not the victory Sony hoped for. According to his confirmed source, the game has 25% fewer users than Ghost of Tsushima during its first month — pulling in around $130 million total.

That means it barely made back its dev and marketing costs, turning only a small profit. Not a disaster, but nowhere near the breakout hit Sony needed.

Now Sucker Punch’s own studio head, Brian Fleming, confirms they’ll stay a single-project studio, working on just one game at a time.
So much for the “Sony powerhouse” narrative — Ghost of Yōtei may have permanently changed their future.
