Filling Out the W-4 Form | 2023

Are you starting a new job or career? You will need to fill out a W-4 form when you start. Employers use the W-4 form, aka the Employee's Withholding Allowance Certificate, to determine how much to withhold from your paycheck for federal income taxes. This brief video explains how to fill out a W-4, including claiming 0 or 1. (The more personal allowances you claim, the smaller the amount withheld for taxes.)
