Chappie (2015) - Reaction & Review (First time watching)

I thought this movie was absolutely wonderful! It definitely has the same trademark look of Neil Blomkamp that both District 9 and Elysium did, and while in the beginning I got the feeling it was leaning more towards a slightly campy and fun indie that didn't take itself all too seriously, it gradually turned to more serious and deeper tones as the film progressed towards the dramatic ending that I found both surprisingly beautiful and sad at the same time. Overall though a pretty heart warming little film with quite a few good laughs that I would definitely recommend to just about any sci-fi fans, but in particular those interested in robots and AI.

I give this movie 8 out of 10 Moose cluster bombs.

(There are a few times in the video where the voice audio kind of "echoes", most notably in the very beginning of my review talk after the movie ends. This is caused by some kind of glitch in the editor I'm using - LightWorks - which sometimes happens randomly on final export even if it wasn't audible while I was editing the video. If I can't find a fix for it I may have to end up switching to another editor if the problem persists)
