Grand Finals of Butcher's League came down to very small decisions made by both players. This is Butcher's Circus at its finest - close calls, strategic choices and a ton of deckbuilding and strategising. What a series!

Tournament DATES (starts at 7PM CEST - Central European Summer Time)
THE QUALIFIERS: MONDAY 24 AUGUST + TUESDAY 25 AUGUST

GROUP 1 GAMES: WEDNESDAY 26 AUGUST
GROUP 2 GAMES: THURSDAY 27 AUGUST
SEMIFINALS: FRIDAY 28 AUGUST
GRAND FINAL: SATURDAY 29 AUGUST


TOURNAMENT RULES:

Deck Creation rules:
DISCLAIMER: TEAM = four characters; a team DOES NOT include skills, placement or trinkets! DECK = four teams declared as a screenshot by a competitor;
1) Each player has to declare a deck of 4 teams for each tournament stage (it is OK to keep one deck throughout the tournament, though);
2) Once the match is initiated, the decks of both players are presented to them (the decks have to submitted a day before the match to the appropriate discord group);
3) Each player can ban ONE of their opponent's teams;
NOTE: the players declare this to the referee not to each other (so that one player's ban does not influence the other player's ban);
4) We end up with 3 teams available to each player.
NOTE: That choice of a team for each game is made by players and is not revealed to their opponents; players go blind into games, not knowing which of the enemy teams they will be facing;
5) Once a player wins with one team, that team is NOT AVAILABLE to the winner until the end of the series; This means that in a Bo3, you must win with at least 2 teams out of 3; in a Bo5, you need to win a game with EVERY unbanned team to win the series;
6) The players are free to swap their skills, trinkets and positions of their characters inbetween the matches within the same series if they lose with a team;

LIMITATIONS:
1) Any given character class (e.g. vestal, jester, leper, PD) can only be present on two teams (e.g. all 4 decks cannot contain a Jester, only two of them can) within a deck;
2) You are not allowed to submit one team more than once within a given deck (i.e. the same exact set of characters, regardless their position)


QUALIFIERS, GROUPS, SEMIS AND FINALS:
1) Decks are LOCKED for the qualifiers and then locked again for the group phase. This means that once declared, decks cannot be changed until the qualifier is over (so for the group phase, new decks can be chosen); then, again, decks cannot be changed DURING group phase.
2) The players are allowed to declare a new deck for the qualifiers, then a new deck for the groups, then then another one for the semifinals and another new set of decks for the finals.
The tournament starts next week (24 August) with a qualifier and finishes on 29 August with the finals; all matches start at 7PM CEST and are streamed by me.


To sign up for the tournament qualifiers, please post the following information on my Discord (  / discord  ) in the channel called "QUALIFIERS-DECKS". You have the time until 22 August, 10PM CEST to sign up for the qualifiers.
Your Steam Friendcode;
Your in-game name;
Your highest achieved rank;
Your four tournament decks as a screenshot.
All other messages will be deleted.
If more than 16 participants sign up, I will hand-pick people for the qualifiers. If 8 or fewer participants sign up, qualifiers will only take place on 24 August.

You will be placed in the qualifiers for EITHER 24 or 25 August. They will start at 7PM CEST.
