Optional Clean if Your HOTBIN Composter is Empty

When the HOTBIN is empty, you can harvested the liquid gold from below the base plate and give it a quick clean.

Cleaning and hosing down your hot compost bin is completely optional, however if your HOTBIN is empty and you have just cleaned the aeration base plate you may wish to go a step further. How often you wash it down is up to you, the HOTBIN will work year on year in most cases without any regular washing required.

If using the HOTBIN hatch as a kneeler please ensure it’s on a flat even surface, do not use a pressure washer to clean the HOTBIN as this may mark the material, HOTBIN cannot be held responsible for any damages.
