In 1996 Juan Gonzalez was crowned the AL MVP. To date this is considered one of the most egrigious MVP votes in modern history. I attempt to dissect what made the voters so inclined to choose a glorified DH with modset power number for the time over lifetime seasons from some of the games greats. And whats that?
