DIY Repair of Chipped and Bubbling Hood Paint - Sand/Prime/Paint

Описание к видео DIY Repair of Chipped and Bubbling Hood Paint - Sand/Prime/Paint

This is part 1 in a 2-part video.

Rocks, wind, and bugs all bombard the hood of your car, so it’s no surprise that the paint can get damaged. Some vehicles, like modern Ford trucks and SUVs, are especially prone to paint failure on their hoods.

My 2016 Explorer (Police Interceptor Utility) had developed several areas of bubbling paint along the front edge of the hood. Rather than have a body shop repaint it, I decided to try an in-garage DIY repair.

On one hand, painting is not for everyone because it is hard to cover up mistakes. On the other hand, there is nothing that will build your courage for working on your own vehicle like repairing paint.

Here is a list of supplies you might need. At no cost to you, I might get paid if you use the links below. Thank you for your support.
