Nils Wanderer – countertenor poised for stardom (2020)

Countertenor Nils Wanderer is only 26 years old but is already top of his game. He graduated from the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar in 2018. In his short career, he has already won many prizes, such as the Young Artist Award in London.

In early 2020 he performed with the Dutch National Touring Opera, singing two roles in a production of Monteverdi’s “L’Orfeo”. The production was conceived as a kind of “Gesamtkunstwerk,” which required the performers to not just sing, but to dance, too. Wanderer loves such challenges. To manage the task he even took ballet classes.

There are still many roles and genres that Nils Wanderer would like to try out. The young multitalented artist has also started working as a choreographer and director. The countertenor Nils Wanderer is on his way to a great career!
