Hi guys! Continuing my year-long motorcycle journey around India, in this vlog I’m exploring the town of Hampi in Karnataka. Hampi was one of the richest cities in the world in the 14th Century before being pillaged and destroyed in 1565, now all that remains are the ruins of the town which are scattered all over old Hampi. On my first day I explore the market in new Hampi before walking around Hemakuta hill and seeing the ancient Ganesha temple. Day 2 features me exploring another side of Hampi, seeing the remains old temples dedicated to Hindu gods which are still standing. On Day 3 I climbed up the 525 steps to the Hanuman temple on Anjanadri hill, the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. This hill has some of the most amazing views and monkeys can be seen roaming around here. On my last day I visit the main monuments of Hampi, the Stone chariot, Lotus mahal, Elephant stables, Vijaya vitthala temple, and the Virupaksha temple. My trip to this ancient Indian city was incredible and you should definitely include this destination in your itinerary of India.
