Epping is a large market town and forms part of Essex County’s Epping Forest district. Although best known for the famous forest, Epping itself lies about a mile to the north of the forest area and the M25. Connections to London are still excellent however, with the Central line offering just over 30 minutes’ journey time in to Stratford, and an hour into Liverpool Street. The tourist industry is healthy here with plenty of attractions and local history to draw visitors to spend time and money in Epping. This has also had a beneficial effect on local businesses and trades able to cash in on the popularity of the area.Typical homeowners in Epping are professional couples/families and tend to move here with the intention of staying long term. This does mean that properties are highly sought after. Most schools in Epping are rated “good” by OFSTED and range equally between faith, state and private schools. In Epping, a higher than average percentage of school leavers go to university.
