Sarat Chandra Bose was interned here for two years from 1933 to 1935. Later Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was also interned here in 1936 for 7 months. It was in this house where Netaji wrote the speech which he delivered as the president of the Haripura session of Indian National Congress in 1938.
