Well, there’s about a million techniques I do to achieve that…but i’ll air out one of my tricks: (incoming nerd talk 🤓)

When I split prongs (those tiny raised metal beads holding the diamonds in place) I always use an extremely sharp and polished graver... which leaves behind a flat mirror finish on every cut.
