Here is a review of the Icon of The Seas Restaurants.
On Icon of the Seas, Chops Grille retains its status as the premier dining venue in Central Park. This Royal Caribbean signature steakhouse features a menu filled with appetizers such as lobster bisque, shrimp cocktail, crispy goat cheese salad, beef carpaccio, grilled black pepper bacon, tuna tartare, and wild mushroom soup. Entrées focus on prime cuts like bone-in ribeye, New York strip, and porterhouse, with premium options such as dry-aged beef and filet mignon available at an additional cost. The sides, served in sharing portions, include highlights like truffled French fries and Gruyere cheese tater tots.
Chops Grille offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Despite its intimate atmosphere, its popularity ensures it is rarely uncrowded. Reservations are required as prime dinner times fill up quickly. Open every night of the cruise from 5 to 9:30 PM and on select days for lunch from 12 to 1:30 PM, current pricing is $29.99 for lunch and $69.99 for dinner.
For dessert, key lime pie, chocolate cake or apple pie with vanilla ice cream are great options.
This version of Chops Grille features a new butcher’s display, an open kitchen, and new iconic cuts, making it a top-notch dining experience. If you're seeking a perfectly seared cut of beef, Chops Grille in Central Park is the place to be.
Located within the AquaDome, Hooked Seafood is a good spot for seafood enthusiasts. Whether you have a craving for fish or shellfish, Hooked offers a tempting array of options. The menu features sandwiches, oysters prepared in three different styles, and lobster rolls.
Open for both lunch and dinner, Hooked adjusts its menu slightly for each mealtime. Lunch service is more affordable and features a smaller menu. Highlights include the 'Messy Fish Sandwich' and the acclaimed New England-style clam and crab chowder.
Come dinner, Hooked Seafood enhances the dining experience with signature dishes like Drunken mussels, available in a choice of white wine garlic sauce or a rich marinara. The Captain’s platter is a standout, showcasing lobster, fresh fish, and shrimp accompanied by warm melted butter. To finish your meal on a sweet note, desserts such as Coconut cream pie and Chocolate decadence brownie are available.
Playmakers, situated on Deck 6 forward, is a vibrant sports bar featuring numerous flatscreen TVs perfect for catching the biggest games of any season. It's a lively environment perfect for indulging in bar bites while cheering on your team amidst a bustling crowd. Prices are a la carte.
Pier 7, Royal Caribbean's lively beachside inspired dining spot, brings the relaxed vibes of California cuisine right to your table. Start your day with favorites like smoked salmon and fluffy buttermilk pancake platters, or try something savory like tacos and eggs benedict. Prices are per dish, and kids 12 and under eat free.
