How to Add Rational Numbers | 7.NS.A.1 💚

In this video lesson we will learn the rules for adding rational numbers. We will apply the rules we have learned for adding integers. When adding the same signed rational values, we will add the absolute values and keep the sign. When we are adding different signed rational values we will find the absolute values, subtract the smaller from the larger, and the sum will have the same sign as the larger absolute value. Student Practice is embedded in the lesson with modeled exemplar solutions.
