Sylenth can do plucks about as well as any soft synth on the market. The techniques used in this tutorial will help you make a snappy Progressive pluck in Sylenth1.

The first thing to remember when making plucks is that you don't need a lot of oscillators active. I typically only use 2. Sometimes I will use 3, but the third is just generating noise in Sylenth.

Also, in Sylenth, try to think ahead in regards to the Mod Envelopes. For pluck sounds, I know I want a really snappy attack. So plan ahead. By that I mean kill some of the Cut Off frequency and then bring it back in using the modulation envelopes. That way you have much more control over the attack of the sound.

Finally, Sylenth's compressor is a really useful tool for plucks. It can help tame the transient and add some crispness to the attack of the sound.
