Today in this video we will be covering important points about an interview. We will understand how interviews are important, and what are the basic points you should keep in mind.

00:00 - WHAT IS AN INTERVIEW? Its a process where a candidate is asked questions to check if he/she is eligible for the particular role in the organization.

00:23 - Interview is not only important in grabbing a job in a company, but also important in getting admission in a University.

01:17 - DO RESEARCH about the organization you are applying in. Otherwise you won't clear even Round 1. You should have the knowledge of the job position or the course you are applying for and about the organization too. You should know about the work culture, alumni portal, history. The best way to know all this about a organization is going through their website.

02:56 - CONNECT with people who are already the part of the organization you are aspiring to be a part of, so that you can get clarity in the decision of whether to apply for the job/course their. You can connect with the alumnus of the college or find any knowns who work or know someone who works in the company.
You can also connect with professionals or students on LinkedIn. You may find a lot of important information that might prove to be useful in the process of interview.

04:37 - PRACTICE is very important. Try to search and know about the types of interview a company takes. Some companies take one-to-one interviews, others may talk in a panel, some might take written tests. While others may do a group discussion, or give you a case study to solve.

3. Passport Size Photo

08:38 - DRESSING. Your outfit should be formal and not casual. Boys can wear shirt and trousers with a blazer, with a trimmed beard. Girls shouldn't overdo makeup and no fancy hairstyles. This is important because it creates your first impression in interviews.
