The Price of Freedom – Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII [PIANO TUTORIAL + FREE SHEET MUSIC]

Boy oh boy, the price of freedom is steep.

Have any of you guys cried to this piece? I have. Several times. It's simple yet emotional, and the seemingly endless repetitions really represents that certain stage in the game. I rarely use symbolism in my arrangements, but this is an exception. Since we live in strange times where FFVII lore can now be considered spoilers again, I'm just going to say that the last ringing note symbolizes a certain characters final breath.

Quick note: This arrangement gets messy really quick if you use too much sustain pedal in the softer parts. Guitars can let strings ring while still keeping a bassline going, but on the piano, you have to get a little creative. I've added the fingerings I use myself in the sheet music to get around some of the trickier transitions.
