The North East Tamchon Football Trophy is held every year in New Delhi organized by the Tangkhul Naga Society Delhi. This tournament is held in memory of (L) Mr. R.N.Tamchon, ACP, Delhi Police under the motto "Excellence with truth and dignity". The tournament is organized on invitational basis with sixteen teams from all North Eastern Region including Sikkim. The main objective of the trophy is to promote unity, friendship, understanding and sportsmanship amongst the people of North East of India. At the same time it aims to provide opportunity to talented football players to display their potential.
