Hey! Y'all have spoken and I have listened! Here is the very detailed, step by step video on how I made my starter for my sourdough bread. It's a little longer video than y'all are used to getting from me, but I wanted to take my time explaining everything because I know this is a daunting process. But I promise you it will all be worth it when you bake your first loaf of sourdough bread!! It does take several days, but it only takes like 5 minutes each day. Please let me know in the comments or message me over on Instagram if you have any questions at all or if you need some encouragement. Y'all know I'm not an expert...I'm more like a shade tree mechanic lol...but I'm here to help as much as I can!!

Here's the bread video!

What you'll need:
Unbleached all purpose flour
Filtered water
Glass jar with lid
Rubberband (move rubberband to the top level of your mixture each time you add stuff)

Step by step:
Day 1-Mix together 1/2 cup flour and 1/3 cup water, loosely sit lid on jar and let sit 24 hours
Day 2-Mix what's in the jar and let sit another 24 hours (don't add anthing)
Day 3am-Mix what's in the jar. Discard all but 3 tbsps. Add 1/2 cup flour and 1/3 cup water (this is the morning feed). Mix well, place lid, let sit
Day 3pm-Add 2 tbsps flour and 1 1/2 tbsp water (this is the evening feed). Mix, cover, let sit
Days 4-8am-Mix and discard all but 3 tbsps of starter. Give morning feeding. Cover, let sit
Days 4-8pm-Give evening feeding, mix, cover, let sit
Day 9am-Do the float test. If your starter floats, it's ready to bake bread. If it sinks, continue with schedule until it passes the float test. Could take a few more days.
