These landward holes showcase a different dimension of the sandy dunescape. Here, the architecture works with dramatic ground movement and native vegetation rather than ocean vistas. The routing weaves through wind-sculpted dunes and native grasses, creating corridors that feel both intimate and expansive. What these holes lack in coastal drama, they compensate for with strategic intrigue and a distinctive sense of place.

The inland terrain allows for different design opportunities - wider playing corridors, more varied green complexes, and the chance to appreciate the rolling duneland that defines New Zealand's northern golf coast. From above, the natural lines and contours reveal themselves: fairways that follow the land's natural rhythm, greens nestled into dune formations, and bunkers that appear to have always been there.
