Israeli civilian ZE'EV ERLICH was killed along with a soldier during a gun battle with Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon. The Israeli army allowed ERLICH to enter an archaeological site, but two Hezbollah officers opened fire on him and other IDF soldiers. ERLICH was later re-identified as a major in reserves and his entry to Lebanon is currently under review by the IDF.
