A physical education teacher at Sierra Elementary School in Arvada is accused of sexual exploitation of a child.

Lucas Cole Young was booked into the Boulder County Jail Wednesday and is due in court at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

According to police records, Young was arrested on Dec. 30 on three counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

The principal of Sierra Elementary School sent a letter to families, that said, in part:

"I have some alarming information to share with you... We have learned that Mr. Lucas
