"Diversity" is this year's motto of the Lucerne Festival. In the chamber music evening with pianist Kit Armstrong there is room for a whole range of "diversity."

An Afro-American composer stands with her work alongside that of a Parsi-British composer and that of a Czech or Japanese composer. The cultural networks of relationships revealed here are diverse and allow exciting contrasts and reflections to be heard. They show that the boundaries of “classical” music are not as narrow as is sometimes thought.
