Step inside the kitchen of a 1960s Chinese restaurant! Matching the recipe booklet of the same name, a film that has been totally forgotten to time.

Saw this film for sale recently and had to purchase it as it just seemed like a kind of odd subject, and I'd probably never see it again. Date code on the film is 1964, but the film could date to 62 or 63. Only found a single reference to it online, in a 1970 archive document. If you recognize any of the actors, leave a comment!

Light adjustments made to the image, slight deflicker and stabilization to smooth out jitters.

Audio processed with compressor, eq, noise reduction; the microphones used in their recording peaked easily and their was a strong hiss/hum. Some of the cooking sounds may have gotten quashed by the processing.


In retrospect I could've scanned with more light, detail was lost in shadows due to that in concert with the nature of the 7387 reversal film stock.
