Sensex, fell by about 660 points on Friday and came below the level of 80,000. The reason for this was the widespread selling pressure due to large-scale foreign capital withdrawal and sluggish growth in corporate income. The BSE Sensex closed 662.87 points or 0.83 percent down at 79,402.29. During the day's trading, it fell 927.18 points or 1.15 percent to reach 79,137.98.
