OK so what is my opinion on this new update? It is hot dogshit. The first thing I'll start with is Cindy being more RNG, I mean OK I don't think it was needed, but it doesn't affect things that much so it doesn't really matter, her normal mode change doesn't make sense either, but it's whatever. Then there is Blank which honestly I can see why this was changed cuz the intervals strat was kind of scummy, but the thing is that it was completely optional to do before hand so making him more random didn't really need to happen IMO, but since he was added to have RNG, holy crap his RNG range is absolutely huge and just feels straight up unfair at times, especially when coming from a casual standpoint cuz most casuals in general don't like RNG in things. Then there is by far the WORST change, Old Candy... oh my GOD he did not need to have randomness at all, not only is the way he works just really bad to have any RNG involved, but the fact that his movement range is ABSURDLY huge is what makes it even worse, like there's no way a casual wants to play this when Old Candy just feels straight up unfair at times, then there's also the fact that he will gain progress EVEN IF THE NIGHT VISION IS OFF, LIKE WHO THE HELL THOUGHT OF THAT. Apparently Peyton wanted the goal of this change to incentivize that Old Candy would have some build up of progress, but like if you wanted to have that, THEN JUST BRING BACK HIS AGGRESSIVE MECHANIC THAT WAS IN v2.0.0 LIKE IT'S NOT HARD. So yeah this change just makes Old Candy feel incredibly unfair, especially when combined with his aggressive mechanic

Now let's talk about the "tryhard" talk, Peyton bragged SOOOOO much about how he made this game "better for casuals" when in reality he just made it worse for both casuals and competitive players. The entire goal for this was to remove timer strats, with all this added RNG. Old candy being RNG is nightmare due to the fact he is the entire reason power is hard. players will find this frustrating if they don't know exactly how he works and some runs will just be way harder due to the fact old candy will take a lot of power depending on if you just get unlucky which just makes it worse for beginners (especially since Blood 7/20 players already struggled with power and old candy as well as 90% of wins are powerout wins) and makes it harder to find what you are even doing wrong in general. Blank is also very frustrating his range is massive and again if you don't know how exactly he works it will be extremely frustrating. It makes the incentive to use a timer even more because the game is way more complex than it ever was before, so it never really fixed the issue at all while making the experience worse for everyone including those who don't use a timer. I feel like having tryhards in your game is an actual good thing because it means there are people that genuinely think the game is good and they want to push it as well as their limits on top of it, so Peyton talking about all this hate towards tryhards and making an update to the game to "kill the tryhards" just is not good at all. I was one of the tryhards that this update was focused towards, yes I made some of the timer strats mainly cuz I just wanted to optimize the game not only for a competitive reason (because I wanted to push the game and see how far I could go), but also a casual reason because Blood 7/20 was a really reasonable first max mode that was really hard for a beginner, and now I just don't even think that's the case. Another thing is that using a timer was completely optional as well so it's not like there was ever a problem before hand at all. To anyone that finished reading this yap session, thank you a lot and maybe there are some other people that will relate to this
