Uniqlo’s marketing team has capitalized tremendously on social media content, often sharing viral posts (like influencer’s ‘what’s in my bag’ videos) through its lifestyle magazine, LifeWear. Uniqlo even sued Shein for copy cats of the bag.

Other nicknames for the bag include the Uniqlo Marry Poppins bag (because of how much can fit in the bag) and the banana bag because of the shape (duh).

With a price point of $19, it’s no Birkin, but it does seem to be the new (effortless) ‘it bag’ that is here to stay.
