2023 TF - CIF-ss Masters - 800 (Boys Championship)

The Southern Section Masters meet was held at Moorpark High School on May 20, 2023. Since the State meet only runs a single set of races, Southern Section must winnow down the best from their 4 divisions into a slate to be entered in the State meet. Generally, Southern Section sends the top 6 from each race to State.

No PRs except for Murray, who later bettered it at State. Still 1:52s are nothing to get blaze about. Ligons took the lead with 350 to go and stretched it on the final turn. Never looked back. He was runner-up at State and Southern Section took 2-4-6-8-9 in that Final. We'll have that State Final for you tomorrow night.
