Natukoy na ng Department of Migrant Workers ang backdoor route na umano’y ginagamit ng illegal recruiters at human traffickers na nambibiktima ng mga Pilipinong gustong magtrabaho sa ibang bansa.

Napauwi na rin sa Pilipinas ang 52 sa 75 Pilipinong nabiktima ng human trafficking sa bansang Laos.
