Powerful tool - Great value for the money
The watch itself tracks the basics but the outut of the mobile app is where the power is. It tracks and summarizes so much data and provides very useful and good graphic and data summaries. I wanted the benefit of the premium options so I signed up for the free 6 month trial and so far love all the amazing summaries and data available for exercise and sleeping and other stuff I don't fully use yet and will most likely continue it after the 6 months. I'm amazed at the quality of the output summaries for exercise, sleeping, food tracking, calories, nutrients and macro's tracking which are very good and user friendly. I like the food tracking function for bodyweight maintenance by budgeting calories. The % macros for carbs, fat and protein also show grams of each and are a good tool if you're doing Keto or cutting for bodybuilders. The input to the food data base is user friendly and more than adequate and similar to Fitness Pal but I like the Fitbit better which has all the other functions too in one place. I'm a person who needs accountability and I find myself more disciplined to check my budgeted calories before making food choices. I'm also a personal trainer which started from my own 140 lbs weight loss journey about 20 years ago so I'm familiar with most all the programs and gimmicks for monitoring exercise and food progress. I just turned 70, do my regular full time job plus exercise twice per day strength training (morning) and cardio (lunchtime - love stairclimbing with burpees at the top!) and use the fit bit for all of it. I've found this to be one of the most useful products out there and probably the best value for the money. I highly recommend it.
