When building elevator systems, safety and accuracy are the most important issues to consider. POSITAL's magnetic IXARC encoders are designed to meet the demanding requirements of the elevator industry. Due to their contact- and battery- free design the magnetic encoders are built to last for many years.
Compared to the other existing rotary encoders, the POSITAL encoders have an enhanced housing and a more robust shaft. Its high shaft load, 300 N, caters to elevators; if used in belt-driven shaft copying systems, the maximum mechanical loading of the ball bearing is important to withstand the force of the strained belt.
