A recent mobilization exercise conducted at the Legoland Theme Park in San Diego County,
invited Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Teams from across California to participate.
The exercise simulated a large-scale earthquake scenario, where rescuers were required to climb and extract injured parties from the rollercoasters.
The mannequins used in the exercise represented real lives at risk, and the teams worked
quickly to rescue them safely.
Such training exercises help CAL FIRE and our partners remain prepared for
any All-Risk emergency.
