THE PERSISTENT ADMIRER ǀ A Bukidnon Datu (tribal chieftain) is wooing a beautiful Bae (female chieftain) from an adjacent community, persistently offering his love—represented by the red handkerchief—to the latter, but always got rebuffed. Nevertheless, his determination was eventually paid off when the Bae finally said ‘yes’ to the affection he proposes to her.

Overwhelmed, the Datu mobilized his warriors and his flock to offer the Bae an array of traditional dances such as 'dugso', ‘talupak’, ‘binanog’ and ‘inamo’.

Watch this tribal dance performance of MCJ personnel and MCJ’s Dancing PDL for the #Kaamulan2022, our way of celebrating the richness of Bukidnon in terms of culture, ethnicity and language!
