In Iceland, despite being surrounded by recent lava flows on 3 sides, the lava walls surrounding the town of Grindavik have successfully held. While ground subsidence has occurred above the eruption's magma chamber, at less active lava flows spurts of burning hydrogen gas were observed. This video will discuss what has occurred at Iceland's Reykjanes volcano in the last 24 hours and suggests where lava might flow next.
