This is a simple visual tour to give you a feel for what it's like to: take the ferry from the Rockland Terminal out to Vinalhaven, stay the night at The Tidewater, enjoy local restaurants, and go on a hike within walking distance of the inn at Lane's Island Preserve. We absolutely enjoyed our time on this island. It's full of history and hard working people. Vinalhaven is Maine's largest off-shore island community, home to one of the world's largest lobster fishing fleets. So stunning, too!
