It’s late April, about six weeks since our last visit to Hendricks Park, and spring has truly arrived. On this sunny afternoon, we return to the park’s winding trails to find vibrant flowers in full bloom, with rhododendrons, azaleas, and other spring blossoms adding color throughout the garden.

As we walk beneath the tall firs and oaks, we enjoy the peaceful sounds of the season—birds calling from the trees, the flutter of a northern flicker, and squirrels rustling through the underbrush.
