This is the latest release from ‪@HorologerMING‬the 37.11 Odyssey and revisits a lot of themes from existing watches, while also showing off some new tricks.

The case (and bracelet) is made of Grade 2 Titanium like the 37.02 Ghost and the 17.03 GMTs from many moons ago. The design follows the same twin crown dive watch style of the 37.09 Bluefin, but the 600m water rating is reduced to a more humble 300m due to reorganization of proportions to make room for the slightly larger movement and additional hand.

The crystal features an engraved hour ring with the brands proprietary white luminous pigment called Polar White, which we’ve now seen on a few watches like the 37.02 Minimalist, 20.01 Series 5 and 57.04 Iris.

But some of the new upgrades include the fantastic tactile experience of the bi-directional ball bearing based inner rotating bezel (actually dial) that rotates the entire smoked sapphire dial with loud, satisfying and precise clicks. While it may not be obvious at first, this is a pretty remarkable achievement considering most brands struggle to incorporate sapphire dials onto their watches without screws or visible alignment pins. MING has been able to deliver a screw/pin free sapphire dial solution for years now, and with this watch and the Bluefin/Uni, they can even move it.

The smoked sapphire dial looks fantastic, and their use of a custom/skeletonized version of the Sellita SW330 means that you can see right through the watch at a few different locations.

The watch also features a new hand set design, which leans into the perhaps space-centric theme of the watch with a spacecraft inspired handset that features a gradient lume design that I don’t think I’ve ever seen done before.

As with all MING watches, this watch packs a ton of detail and subtle design elements that reveal themselves to you over time.
