Love the E5, I can tell the difference in sound quality between its DAC and my very expensive phone, or PC. Use it in the car or with TV and headphones.
I had the weak battery problem.
I bought a battery on AliExpress, and cut and re-soldered the 3 wires, red, yellow and black. but I still could not get it to charge all the way and in time it would run out of power when being used and plugged in. left it unplugged for a month, and the battery is now dead ( 0.8 v). So I had an idea: Have one of those external phone batteries with a USB socket, got a USB extension cable and cut it in 2, found a red and black wire inside, with +5v and ground. connected that to the red and black wires that connect the battery in the E5. Because 5v is more than the 3.8v the E5 battery puts out all 3 white charging LEDs come on. Hocked up the E5, and powered it on, and its working. Orig 3.8v battery is not getting hot ( yet ). So I can rubber band the external battery to the E5, and just charge it when it gets low. I may try to just remove the orig 3.8v battery.
Shower of Blessings warns that: BE Very Carefull DO NOT leave it connected for longer period it will get HOT and mine is Exploded and caught a very BIG fire, luckily I was nearby otherwise my whole flat could go BOOM... lost so many expensive items on fire.
