Authorities are investigating an incident at a North Las Vegas restaurant after surveillance footage captured a suspect stealing a cash register.

The incident occurred on Sunday night at Teriyaki Madness, located near Craig Road and Revere Street, where the suspect made off with approximately $650.

An employee chased the suspect moments after the theft.

This marks the first time the restaurant has been targeted during business hours, despite previous occurrences in the area.

Police are determining whether this was an isolated incident or part of a larger operation.
