How to Wash an Unwashable Costume

If you have ever ordered custom dancewear, then you've likely received instructions that say DO NOT WASH. Most dance costumes (especially when they have any white or a mixture of light and dark fabrics) are considered "unwashable". This is because washing machines cause colors to bleed together.

However, the fabrics by themselves can be cleaned if you carefully spot clean.

Items Needed:
- Cold Water
- White Towel
- Dish Soap

Steps:
1) Place the garment on a white towel
2) Rub a small amount of dish soap and cold water on a white towel
3) Gently Dab (DON'T RUB) to protect the fabric
4) Rinse off soap with cold water
