Prox, TobeyBeats, & Intryx - Feel Alive (ft. Amitav) [Glitch Records Release]

this track got a bit of a backstory to it

This story begins back in 2022. A few months prior, ‪@Intryx‬ and I won a remix contest hosted by artists: ‪@SongsByStorm‬, ‪@TobeyBeats‬ (he also goes by Fedders), & ‪@Skyptomiax_music‬. Seeing that Tobey liked my music, I took a shot and texted him. After discussing with Tobey, we decided to also include Intryx into the project. Despite the initial interest and motivation to start the project, we didn't start anything until almost two months later. We went back an forth a few times but by then, 6 months had passed and school was starting up again. We decided to put the project on hold and continued working on the track again briefly towards the end of 2022. An idea that was proposed by Tobey was to find a vocalist to sing on this track. After a few months, we found one who would provide free vocals in exchange for a revenue split. And just when we could see the light at the end of the tunnel, she stopped responding for a few weeks. We waited patiently until she finally responded, with a message saying that her microphone had broken and that she wouldn't be working with us any longer. Out of desperation to finish this track, we once again, searched for another vocalist with a reasonable price. Gradually, our motivation died out again and we stopped progressing for another few months. In June of 2023, Tobey finally found Amitav. We arranged an agreement and finally returned to the project. After a few weeks of work, we sent a polished version to Amitav so she could write lyrics. Unfortunately, she was currently working on multiple other projects at that time so we were forced to wait until she was available. Finally, the vocalist sent a demo of the lyrics on the track with no vocal processing in October. ​ Once again, we were preoccupied with our personal lives. The vocals were finally processed and integrated in February of 2024. By this point, it had been officially 2 years since I first requested a collaboration. We quickly finished the track and began sending it to multiple labels. After multiple rejects, we were finally accepted by Glitch Records in April, marking the end to this journey.

We've grown a lot since this track was first started, which is reflected in the overall style and the sound selection. Despite all the challenges, I've enjoyed the experience and the memories made. Although a part of me wishes that it didn't take TWO YEARS, another part appreciates that we took our time. If you've read this far, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go support everyone who worked on this track.
