Happy holidays!
Treat your furry friend with these adorable candy cane treats!

RECIPE:
200 gms pumpkin or sweet potato
Water (to microwave/steam the pumpkin)
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 cups wholemeal/wheat flour
Chicken/Beef cooking stock (optional)
Red and green food dye (optional) (if you don't want to

METHOD:
Pre-heat your oven to 180°C (350°F)
Add pumpkin to a microwave safe container, cover slightly
Heat on high (900 watts) for 4-5 minutes or until soft

Sift the flour into a large bowl
Add powdered cooking stock
Mix through well
Add egg and sieve in the pumpkin
Mix through as best you can, then turn out onto a clean bench and knead until well combined
Half the mixture, add dye to each half and knead again until the colour is even
Follow the video to shape the treats

Place on a greased and floured baking tray
Bake for 10-12 minutes
Pop out the oven and set aside to cool
Spoil your bestie with treats!
