Topping Tobacco in Eastern NC

Описание к видео Topping Tobacco in Eastern NC

http://www.BigMill.com | When tobacco flowers bloom, farmers break them off to allow the plant to continue growing. Locals call this "Topping Tobacco." These flowers are very sticky, not fragrant and used to be done all by hand. Now a big machine does this, yet workers still must go into the fields to pick any blooms missed by the machine. This is done usually in July in Eastern North Carolina. This video was shot just outside my kitchen window at Big Mill Bed & Breakfast near Greenville, NC.
