Whenever you have delayed periods, the first thing to be ruled out is pregnancy. So if you are no pregnant, there are some symptoms which can mimic pregnancy. You will have some tummy cramps as if the periods is going you come or you can weight gain, that is when the symptoms starts coming. So when you miss you periods, and you think you are gaining weight, there are menstrual cramps, you should get a pregnancy test done and if you not sure, get a blood test called beta hCG done which will tell 100% whether there is a pregnancy or not. Basically the hormone which rises in the pregnancy also rises just before your periods. So the symptoms can be the same. It can be breast tenderness, frequency of urination, mood swings, weight gain, bloated feeling. These symptoms alone don’t mean anything that you are pregnant or not. So do a pregnancy test and see whether it is positive or not.
