This is an episode of SWX Tonight, a nightly half-hour sports highlight show based in Spokane, WA, that I work on as a producer. As part of my daily responsibilities, I created the order of the show, wrote the scripts, created the graphics, and edited the video, with help from the other members of the sports department who shot/edited their own video. In this instance I also shot some of the highlights which appear in the show.

One of the reasons I wanted to work for SWX was their focus on local sports first. I believe this episode of SWX Tonight, which had a heavy focus on both the current night of high school sports as well as a preview of our Friday night high school sports show exemplifies that.
The advantage of having a nightly half hour show means that you can pack a bunch of content into your show. On this specific episode we were able to go heavy into high school sports, do an interview segment with members of the Gonzaga Women's Basketball team, preview the Eastern Washington-Montana State football game (which aired on SWX) and squeeze in Seattle Kraken highlights to close the show.

This episode of the show aired on November 4th, 2021, with SWX's Rob Jesselson and Joe McHale anchoring, with appearances by other SWX on air talent Dennis Patchin and Alex Eschelman, contributing to the show from our sister station in Montana. This video shows the entirety of the episode, skipping over the commercials.

As a producer with SWX, my primary role is to produce each night's episode of SWX Tonight, which airs Sunday-Friday at 10:30pm PST. I also occasionally shoot video, conduct interviews, and have an on-air background. (See my Reporter/Broadcaster reel on my channel.)
