Kawai RX2 Grand Piano: This 5’10” Kawai grand piano represents the pinnacle of Kawai piano building for the home when it was manufactured in 2001. The owner took great care of the piano, as it was in excellent condition when we acquired it. Of course, we know it very well with him being a customer of ours, and Taylor’s servicing the piano regularly. The RX2 series boasts many advanced features to enhance tone and touch, such as an extremely dense inner rim, for great sound reflection, vertically laminated bridges which you find on European pianos for greater tone transference, and steel reinforced key slip and key bed to retain shape over a lifetime. The action also features aluminum rails and composite materials including carbon fiber to prevent warpage, resulting in a more consistent touch over many years. Kawai pianos traditionally have a smooth, mellow tone, however, the richness of the sound of this piano has to be experienced. I invite you to come in and try or listen for yourself!
