Residents from 15 villages in Rairakhol block blocked the Vijayawada–Ranchi National Highway (153B) at Pandakimal, demanding the construction of a bridge over the Kerandi Nala. During the protest, they stopped the vehicle of Kantabanji MLA Laxman Bag, who was forced to cross the nala in his car to witness the villagers’ problems firsthand. The agitators also took the Sub-Collector and Tehsildar to the site to show the hardships they face, intensifying their demand for immediate bridge construction.
